Can anybody tells me what does the enable/disable object zread/zwrite does? I had read thru the help files, but I couldn't understand it. I would appreciate if you can explain it to me in a more novice terms. Thanks!

I think disable object zread has the same effect as disable object zdepth. I've no idea about disable object zwrite, though

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

There are 10 people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

disable zwrite will prevent DBP from even writting the z depth values into the zbuffer which gives the GPU more time to do "important" things.

For low poly objects (100 poly or so) there won't be much difference but for a 10k poly object there should be a significant speedup
