I'm sure this is probably a noobish question with a simple answer but I've been having an embarrassingly difficult time figuring out how to do it. I've read a ton of examples of how to read from files but I just cant get it to work.

Anyways I have a 2D array which at the moment is hard coded into the game but I want to have it load from an external file. Can someone show me how to do it? Ideally I would also like to know how to export it but loading it my primary concern.
