Dark GDK / What about Borland and DarkGDK?

Hey,

I wanted to install a lighter yet powerfull piece of compiler for my laptop (i have microsoft VC++ instlladed on my other main computer), and found the famous Borland, is it light yet powerfull?

And would it be possible intergrate DARKGDK into borland?

There are many different compiler versions under the "Borland" trademark, which one do you mean? They are usually powerful, professional tools, but I wouldn't call any of them "light". If you are talking about the freely downloadable command-line compiler, that is light but it doesn't have any IDE and it is an old version.

As to the integration of Dark GDK into any Borland compiler, the answer is no. Quotation from the Dark GDK system requirements page on this TGC web site: "Dark GDK requires Microsoft's Visual C++ 2008 Express compiler."

Visual Studio Express should run fine on a stronger laptop.
