How do you make 3D Objects, such as a cube, solid so that the camera can not move through it.

Check for collision and back off?

Yea that would work, but is there a way to make them solid

Nothing is solid in a computer. It's a data representation. It only does what you tell it to do with your code. The camera isn't going to stop moving just because it comes near the data representation of what should be a solid object.
