FPSC Classic Product Chat / dx error and compatibility question

I downloaded the trial version and got a dx version error when I tried to run it. I have a quad @ 2.4hz with 8 gigs of ram and nvidia 9100 with 256mb and 2302 available. I have Direct X 10.
Is the issue with vista or something else?
Also, will the above configuration run FPS vista dx10 ok?
