no, only x10 will work with vista and windows 7, It might work with XP as long as your pc was good enough and you had a DX10 hack (Which none really work)

Migration coming soon and then that will be X10 in X9 so I guess that could kinda answer in some ways too.

Currently Direct X 10 only works on Vista and Windows 7. The games you create with FPS Creator X10 will only run (after build) on a Vista/Windows 7 machine, it will not work on Windows XP or lower.

They can be edited on FPS Creator 9 as long as you have the media because the editors are the same for both games.

Wrong, FPSC X10 has a lot of new options for AI entities such as the Dark AI definitions on what to do at which moment. FPSC X9 does not support these options.

All I am saying is the editors are the same, thus you can use the editor to edit the map in Windows XP. Nothing to do with the engine itself. (Editor is completely different than the engine).

And yes, after this long migration the ENGINE will work both in Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Read-My-Post, Seriously... Check the character properties between the two for yourself, they're not the same Thus meaning there is a slight incompatibility between the two, although this is just a minor thing. X9 maps can be loaded in X10, but not vice versa.
