i have some questions regarding MS3D:
is it possible to apply bumpmaps, spec maps and so on? how? is there a plugin for this?
is it possible to repeat a texture like a texture wich i want on a house, then i want it to be seamless, got how i mean? if its possible, agan, how?

edit: i also wonder, and this is a bit FPSC related so i have no expectations but i hope to get it answered aswell: around what size in ms3d should an object be to be used as a "floor tile" in FPSC? =P

you should switch to blender i don't think anyone uses milkshape anymore. with blender you can find a tutorial on all of that stuff. (i think???)

=P should and should i absolutly HATE blenders interface =P so NO =P and milkshape is a great program really, as long as the models are low poly, i really dont use MS3D for modelling anymore i just use it to group polys so i can do my UV map ^^

Don't listen to them! Milkshape is totally SICK! I have Maya and I still swear by MS3d!

ok so.

Export size for segments in FPSC: segments are 100x100. that's floor and walls.

is it possible to apply bumpmaps, spec maps and so on? how? is there a plugin for this?

Not that I've ever found. Why would you want to though? In FPSC you apply those textures through the FPE file.

is it possible to repeat a texture like a texture wich i want on a house, then i want it to be seamless, got how i mean? if its possible, agan, how?

Um yes. the MS3D interface only shows the UV values from 0-1 on the U and V axis, but if you stretch a uv out of the sides it will tile... it's hard to explain.

if you made a box, and each face of the box filled the whole of the UV map each face of the box would take the whole image of whatever texture was applied. Each face is 1Ux1V.
if you made the UVs of the box 2Ux2V then you would see a 4 tiles of the texture image on each face...

Making sense?!

I want robotic legs.
