If you look at that, the shadows are dithered (or layered i guess), how would shadows appear like that ingame? And what technique is most probably used?

I'm sure Evolved's shadow shaders do a similar effect, certainly a comparable look at least, maybe fuzzy instead of jagged. Check out his website and try the shader downloads:

Wow I just checked Evolved's youtube page. Some amazing stuff there like his volumetric clouds (beastly). What I am wondering with shadows is that it might drop too many frames :/

Hmmm, what other amazing shaders has Evolved made, and where could I get them?
