Unhelpful Titles

Please do not simply write "Noob Question", "I am a newb", "One Noobie Question", "A question", "Please help", "This isn't working" or anything similar as the title of your post. We have a search facility, and meaningless titles do not help others find answers to their questions. It will also help you to get quicker responses if people have an idea of your thread content.

You can only import custom characters into FPSC X10 by using a modelling application which supports animation and can export to .X format.

You need a skeleton with animations to rig your model to before it will actually do anything in the game engine.

The easiest thing would be to retexture an existing character by opening their diffuse texture in a paint program that supports .dds and replace it with your version.

ok, i have altered the .dds file using photoshop,i just replaced the facial features with the one from my character to test if it would work, i then changed the texture of the original game character( colonel.x ) to the one that i had altered in ps, but when you test build and run the level nothing changed, the facial feature's was still the orginal game one, so what am i doing wrong? is it just the one .dds i have to alter? or a series of them for animation? or do i also have to change another file for it to show up ? if so which one?
isn't there a dark basic programe like "signs" that will import it all for you? something on the lines of "3dmenow" where you just use a few images of the character you want to create and it does all the hard work ,thats if you remember that programe, lol.
