If you downloaded from Microsoft.com and then it crashed when you installed it then its probably ram, graphics card, motherboard or Hardrive problems.
If you have XP then make sure its DX9
If you have vista/windows 7 then make sure its DX10
Make sure that if you have a 64bit version of windows then your hardware supports it, its no good if its 86bit only (86 = 32)
Make sure that all graphics drivers are up to date and your Graphics card is supported by FPS Creator and also supports DX9
Make sure your motherboard drivers are also up to date
If you still have problems after checking those things then also try chkdsk repair
How to on XP :
Start menu -> Run -> Type cmd -> Type "chkdsk c:\ /r" without the speech marks (that command may not be correct, if it doesnt work then try changing the c:\ and the /r"
How to on vista/windows 7 :
Start menu -> In the start Search box type "cmd" without the speech marks, Type "chkdsk c:\ /r" without the speech marks (that command may not be correct, if it doesnt work then try changing the c:\ and the /r"
Thats all I can say to help you since you didnt give any system specs (Exept to your laptop name and make) and also didnt say what your error was
