Hi All,

I originally posted this probably in the wrong section and am reposting now here. A demo version of Cold Dawn (written in DBC) is now available in the download section of www.cold-dawn.com. Screenshots are also available in this website. The game is virtually (99%) finished.

If you do download it and try it out, I would love to hear any feedback you may have. Please be as brutal as you like - I wont mind at all if you think it sucks.

Cheers,

Chas.

tried to get the demo before you start charging for it, and...

meanwhile, a clickable link, some screenshots here and some info on the game would have been nice (please don't say "i was in a rush"... that's a sad excuse for an excuse, and all too common).

1. Screenshots are available under the "screenshots tab" in the main website or for convenience - http://www.cold-dawn.com/index.php?p=1_2_Screenshots

2. Info on the game is also available immediately on the home page of www.cold-dawn.com

3. Further info can be obtained from the dowloadable manual

4. I havent started charging for the game yet but for some inexplicable reason the storage provider (www.yousendit.com) has removed those files I uploaded and I'm not best pleased about it. Its not because the storage or download capacity has been breached either and being on holiday I cant readily up load it which is very annoying to say the least. I do apologise for this and will try to rectify the situation within the next few days or so.

Looking good
Perhaps you should post the link like this

http://www.cold-dawn.com/index.php?p=1_2_Screenshots

I'm sure more people would look into it.

Hey there - you might recognize me from the SW3D forums!

Appears to be rocksolid, will download it as soon as possible to give it (yet another) go in this near-final version.

Congratulations on completing a long-term project like this!

This is a master piece of work! And IMHO one of the best game done in DBasic (with Evochron, yes I'm an Elite like fan). I just have a trouble with fps when there's a lot of text (stock market), maybe it's my computer...

Really, congrats!!!

@french gui: Wow thanks for that!!

I know there's a problem with lots of text on systems using Vista (I presume you're using vista). There is a definite fix for Vista systems but sadly it will take a bit of time.
