Let me be frank- I HATE the animations for the FPSC models, and I'm a pretty good animator myself (well- flash, and 2D stuff)

I want to try my hand at 3D animations, specifically that sideways skipping animation and spread eagle death animation.

Can character shop help me out here? I'd release my animations somehow If I could!

Bond1 uses custom animations so there's no reason you cannot.
You'd have to overwrite the old character model with the new animations or create a new version of the character (just copy all the character files, name them something else and instead of the old model, use the new model )

As for Character Shop, I'm not sure, don't know how If it exports the animations in an .x file

If not you could always use Fragmotion, might be a bit harder though.

I'll do fragmotion- is it free?

I'll make some new animations, put up a video, and you all can tell me if you want them.

can FRAGMOTION use the FPSC biped?

Fragmotion costs 50 USD. It is well worth the price.
I use it for all my animating.
And yes, it can use the FPSC biped

Its probably trial. With fragmotion you can easily merge your animation with any FPSC character and simply export.

I can rework the current anims AND add new ones? damn, I was thinking Xquad, or Leadwerks, but If I sell enough copies of my game then I'll get fragmotion.

(and If I sell even more I'll get ledwerks or Xquad)

Look no. Fragmotion is free forever. All that 50$ effects is the pop up that'll constantly get in your way and annoy you.

And you are aware that leadwerks is a game engine correct? Not a simple modeling program. It utilizes C++ as well so if you do decide to move to it remember it aint as easy as fpi. Believe me I know.

I AM aware. I was thinking of using it for future games.

and I have a firm grasp of object oriented programming and conditional logic

I know Html, Actionscript, FPI, and DarkBasic

I could probably get C down. also, leadwerks said it could use DLLs of a lot of other languages.

okay, so could you give me a download for fragmotion? am I getting it from the right site?

It also supports the developer.
Don't forget the guy responsible for such a great program.
