I am currently creating a real time strategy game and I need help. I know you can't make team requests on this forum. So can someone please tell me where I can ask for some help. I have been modeling a large amount of building and creating textures and design notes ect. But I need some help with programming. I've tried Game Maker but it's fairly limited in terms of rts. What I achieved in Game Maker http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/83778
I also made a video for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvA7L2LByA0

I've got:
-Building models
-Terrain textures
-Music

Sorry if this sounds stupid...

This is mainly a programming site, not really a graphic site. So really the only option is to learn how to program. Get the DB software, and maybe ask for help with programming in the top two forums on the forum home page. Or... find a member who is already making a RTS game, and offer to make graphics for them, and share the program together.

You would be amazed how quickly and easily you could get an RTS engine working in DBPro, why not grab the demo and grab the RTS tutorial, I'll post a link later if nobody beats me to it.

....However... I have always been for team requests personally, and think that there should be a team request forum, but I am in the minority.

It's amazing to me that you've done all that work without having a plan on which program would uses the models. To me it's like building the ultimate gaming computer and not getting a power supply. Sure the inside of the computer looks cool but without a power supply to use the stuff it's all just useless junk.

Me three, oh wait I wrote it.

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=44248&b=6

I'm assuming that's the one he meant, I'm not aware of any other. It's rather out of date I'd say and could use a rewrite. Links to tutorial seem down, I'm checking into it now.

Alright, looks like I moved the folder hosting the tutorial to a different portal. You can find it here:

I downloaded the trial version of DB pro and activated my 30 day trial but when I go to test something this comes up

'Your installed products are Dark Basic Professional Trial (expired certificate)'

Any ideas?

I don't think you're actually allowed to compile anything. I'm not sure though.

What's the point in the trial then?

The trial lets you do everything, but just sticks a logo on the screen. Not sure why your 30 days ran out.
