I'm using Blender at the moment and I have a small problem with my background image that I was modeling after. It was there one minute, and then I click the scroll-wheel on my mouse to fix a few faces with a better angle. I must of unknowingly pressed a hot-key that hid the background image and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to bring it back up after I returned to the top-down view.

If anybody knows what the problem is, it would be greatly appreciated if you could lend me some assistance.

I don't use blender, but maybe when you rotate your view it removes the background? If you can't get the view to go back by returning to the view (via hotkey or setting the view) try re-applying the image as a background?

Just some ideas.

The background image in Blender is not visible from orthographic or perspective views. With num lock enabled, try pressing 1 and then 5 on your number pad and see if it brings the image back.

Press 5 on your keypad. That will fix it.

That's the problem I'm having. The image isn't coming back after changing viewpoints. I'm guessing, if I have to in the end, I'll just have to reinstall Blender to reset the settings(?) if you guys cannot help me.

or you can go to vieuw, background image, than press on the X and reload the image, then you don't have to reinstall.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help guys. I figured out what the problem was. I had the view set to "Perspective" and it needed to be "Orthographic" or something of that sort. It fixed it very quickly.

Cheers!
