I put weapons in the bank, but when i pulled up the editor, they werent there.

you need the following four items for an entity to appear in the editor

a model in .X format
a UV map in any image format
a script in .FPE format
a thumbnail in PNG (?) format

there are tutorials in the models and media section of the forum if you are unsure about anything.

If its a weapon you need the gunspec and other files in the gamecore folder

So if I download one off of FPS.free.com then i put ALL of the files into the -bank?

You just need to drop the files folder from the download into C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator when aasked to overright say yes to all
