As the title suggests, is there any way to make it so audio files from your built game can only play in game, cannot be opened in anything else? I have a lot of custom written music by my father and I for my game and, not to be mean, I'd like to keep it personal to my game

If anyone here can help me out I may release some tracks if anyone wants them

Thanks in advance

Looks like some nice Software! But, when I try to build, when it's all done after the "Please wait, your Smart-Packered Application is almost ready" message, it always says, could not write to (wherever) access is denied. That happens when I try to save it anywhere...

If you could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it, and I'll send you one of our music tracks if you can help me

Actually, Mrnice, i got it to pack, the end result is a file that has a filetype of.... "file" it does nothing else. What do you do from there?

If you need to know I'm using Vista x64

I don't have a Vista x64 machine so can't test it. Have sent you an e-mail.

May I ask what the difference is between the free version of Smart packer and the paid for version?

The additional features in the paid version are:
- Secure Zone (store files in hidden zone)
- DLL Plugin system (use own plugins)
- Online Activation plugin with source and php scripts
- Higher encryption level like Rijndael
- Higher compression level
- Secure File Deletion

Edited: the comparison can now also be seen on our site!

If you have more questions just let me know.

Ekipshi Vishnu was updated by s4real to solve all bugs and a copy of Phoenix was free at a point cause I downladed it.

Yeah, but I haven't found any links for it still available.

That's great but it's not now, is it?

Besides, this, smart-packer software here seems to work all right
But thank you DJ

So this protects your game music from being ripped? Seems like the average hack could get the tune with fraps or many other audio recording software tools during playback.

Why what are you thinking about doing?
That issue can be solved or at least made harder for the ripper if ambient/environmental sounds are playing along with the music

Actually, I was about to say the same thing Audio files aren't as easy to protect as 3D media because anyone can just record the game music while the game is running. If the player stands still--no enemies or noise around, then they pretty much have full access to the track And unfortunately, ambient noises can be filtered out with recording software...if someone really wants to go to those lengths.

But I don't think you have anything to worry about. Everyone seems to know each other around here, and since the mods crack down pretty hard on piracy, I doubt that anyone on these forums would try to steal your music.

Yeah suppose you're right there

I doubt anyone will actually want to go through the trouble to get the music though, it's not like absolutely astounding or amazing.
