Hi, I have been playing around with DBPro code for a few months and would now like to make my space flight 3D game a little more easy on the eye. I am fooling around with shaders but don't really know what I am doing!!
What would be the simplest way to get the type of shading found in the X3 games, such as in the picture attached. The ships in this game reflect bright light of metal looking surfaces and are quite dark in shadow. I have not come even close to recreating this effect.
Any pointers for the right direction to go in?
