I recently ran into this error:

It has never happened before, I made stuff minutes before that worked.

Do you have any idea whats wrong?

I get it sometimes, its usually if the model file is corrupt

Double:

Could it be something with that I use .tga with alpha for the textures?

Edit:
Now I cant export my textures to .dds with alpha with photoshop. It sais "Too many channels to export (5)"

Not sure as to that, I don't really use TGA for alpha i always use DDS.

Don't know what to say, if Photoshop is giving you trouble with DDS, then try exporting it to another alpha-compatible format and open with GIMP and use a DDS plug-in to export.

(Personally, I'll take Gimp (or Paintshop for that matter) over PS any day )

Also, what are you using to create the entity? Entity-Workshop I assume right? I've never had problems with that software so I would hope that's not the problem

I am making overlays, just a simple, 2poly, plane with a texture.
Exported properly with milkshape. I dont use entitiy workshop, "make entities from x-files" works so much better

Yeasterday i got the model working, they show up in the editor (but without transperacy) but when ingame they wont show up.
This really bugs me since I have some really cool textures for the overlays.

I will contact Roger Wilco, maybe he can help

Why dont u just use Entity Workshop V2?

It is the best choice I personnaly think.

this happened to me recently with an x model that i exported properly too. the only way i got it to work was to re export it. i really have no idea what happened or why.

so try re exporting that X model and see if that works.

The only way I found (partly thanks to Roger Wilco) were to do some things to get .DDS to work with photoshop.
I also exported the model without a texture.
Plus I added transpercay = 4 to the .fpi.

Now it works!
