I think that there was a tutorial on creating copies of entities and segments, re-naming them, and assigning different texture files to them by editing text files but I can't find the tutorial. I think that the tutorial was created a few years ago. I am hearing-impaired and I can't hear someone talking on video tutorials. Any suggestions for 3D modeling software that can import and export DirectX files?

Just copy and paste the entity files (texture, logo, fpe files). To change the texture, just replace the original texture file with your one and give it the same name.
