Well i got a question, when i make a model in blender and render it, i get a white model. But how do you make it like this and what is the use of it :

You can already see different colors and they all look like clay.

Just wondering what is does.

Okay, so its not like a map that makes the moddel more detailled or someting, its just to make it look nice. I thought that maybe it had a purpose.

@Isocadia- Here is a simple fact blender can make some hard things easy and easy things hard to model. Next, the Viking was modeled most likely polygon at a time. He smooted the character using Z-Brush which is one of the most expensive and professional tools to help in creating a character.

Most of what you are describing, Isocadia, can be done with materials. The detail on that model is geometric (modelled from triangles and quads), but the clay look is done via materials. As far as I can tell, it is a fairly matte shader(low specularity), and is rendered using Ambient Occlusion. It isn't hard to replicate that look in any software with advanced materials, including Blender.
