With the sprites you can use dbSetSpritePriority to set priority of appearance on screen. Is there the same thing for text (say when I use dbInput)? I suspect my text is often overdrawn by sprites on top...

You could use dbDrawSpritesFirst(), so the text will be on top of the sprites.

try dbDrawSpritesFirst() or last, not sure of the syntax but you can check the documents, thats to display text over the sprites
