Why do they make such a big deal? It's almost like a science fiction film

Theres no place like 127.0.0.1

they make it big deal because idiots like him cause hundreds of millions of dollars of chaos on the net, from companies that can`t read their mail and close transactions, to servers that where down and lost companies money from sales they didn`t make, to people like me who are supposed to be off work sick and had to go in and innoculate their PC`s for them so that they could actualy carry on since the pc specialists who cover our network where too busy to get there until the following week, to the people who live near a reactor that shut down when the computers crashed (though why the hell they chose windows to run it I can`t imagine), idiots like that want killing, in any messy and painfull way the victims can think up, dead bloodstained virus coders...good, live ones...bad.

This guy should get the death penalty, the millions if not billions of dollaras in damage that he will never be able to pay back. Instead companies insurance will go up, they have to fix everything, they lose money.

I worked for a small IT support company that had a DOS attack, it literally almost shut down the company.

These pricks who do hacking, attacks, worms, virus, etc. deserve to be beat to death.

It was odd with this one because unlike a lot of them that are spread with the help of human stupidity (opening attachments and the like) this one looks to me like it should have never affected a company if they had any kind of decent firewall. If my simple adsl router with just basic packet filtering stoped it surly any company that would lose money from a virus would have better protection than me?

I thought the guy they caught was just some 18yo script-kiddie who attached some crap in the virus code that ended up getting him caught because he's an idiot - not the guy who actually wrote the virus that did some damage (if you follow - sorry, it's late )

eh, I dont think he's gonna get in trouble. Eventually the govenments gonna ask him if he wants to work for the government or the military as a professional hacker of something so he can get out of prison. That kind of skill could be used in the military.

They didn't catch the guy who was the actual coder of the ASM for the virus (he's the talented one) they caught some fat bloated lop of crap 18yo script-kiddie who altered the original virus with some text that, of all things, mentioned his online screen name, and he also changed file name directives to stupid names like penis.sys or something - He's an idiot and he deserved to get caught just for his sheer stupidity

i just dont get why hackers make viruses that affect peoples home computers, sur emajor businesses that are doin bad stuff that you got a grudge against go for your life (as long as it doesnt mess with my finances) eg microsoft. But leave us poor sods who use a computer for fun at our homes alone, we cant spend countless amounts of money on stupid anti virus software just cause some lowlife thinks he is 133+ and puts a virus on our system, all i wanna do is play and make games. If hackers were 133+ they could design a virus that would only affect evil corporations, everyone other virus is just l4m3. I mean hacking started off as just harmless pranking using tone response phones and little noise machines to make prank calls, hacking has been blown out of proportion and computer geeks of this generation think that putting viruses on peoples machine sis what hackings about, to them i say get a life douchebags, put your skills to some good use before i get all pirate style on your behind (sorry bout the behind but apprently there is a language filter).
