Browser: Mozilla Firefox (Add-ons is why + it has my fav radio station (techno4ever.net) player)
Music Player: Winamp (light and I like the "Winamp Modern" + Milkdrop plugin)
OS: Windows Vista (soon to be 7) (I like the UI over XP and Macs)
Word Processor: MS Office (I got the ultimate version from the MS employee store for about $50)
Image Editor: Photoshop CS3/Paint.NET (Photshop is powerful, although I like how Paint.NET different things and effects)
Audio Editing: Audicity/Wavepad Sound Editor (Free, and I like how wavepad integrates it's self with windows)
Video Editing: Adobe Premiere (Easy to use)
IM'ing: Xfire (Best for gaming)
Anti-Virus: Avast! (Best free anti-virus)

Just curious to know what people around here use and why

Browser: IE. Not cool maybe, but I'm too lazy to install anything else and I wiped my computer less than a month ago.
Music Player: Windows Media Player a little, mostly Spotify though. That's an amazing program, and it's so good to be able to listen to music free on demand and know the artists are still getting the royalties they deserve.
OS: Vista
Anti-Virus: Avast! Got to love free software that works as well as the top-of-the-range expensive stuff.

I highly recommend X by the way. Practically the same, but I personally found it far more stable than 8 and 9 were (it's almost rock solid) - it's also fairly cheap these days too

Of course if you've never had stability issues with 8/9 then don't bother (I had tons of annoying crashes etc. with those two though - maybe it was just me though)

Browser: Firefox - Because it's not Internet Explorer.
Music Player: Windows Media Player - I don't feel the need to get anything fancy to play music or video.
OS: XP - It's stable and doesn't take as much resources to use as Vista.
Word Processor: Microsoft Publisher - It gives me greater control of what I want printed. Each page is in a separate area and not "attached" like every other word processor out there which makes it easier to control the output.
Image Editor: Paint Shop Pro 7 - I've been using a version of Paint Shop Pro since it first came out. It's easy to use and makes things quickly... love the way it does multiple layers.
Audio Editing: Don't use any.
Video Editing: Don't use any.
IM'ing: Don't use any.
Anti-Virus: AVG - It's a really good virus scanner/cleaner and it's totally free.

Same reason I switched to Chrome, perhaps the newer versions of FF aren't so great?
