Hey guys, I want a little modeling practice so I figured I would start a free entity request thread. I'll do anything, other than characters, weapons, buildings, or animations. I'd also like it if you could provide a reference shot for me, but if you can't just describe it vividly please. For examples of my work, view the attachment. I'm going to work on requests one at a time so I don't get overwhelmed.

Some of these Ayleid Stones from Oblivion would be totally cool:

When building fantasy games its mostly illogical, that torches are burning in a dungeon while only animals, undead or non-humans roam the place. Lightgiving crystals are a way around this.

Do you mean the Varla stones and the other ones (I haven't played Oblivion in a while, but the glowing blue ones right?) or the ruins? I just want to be sure, and I'll get started on those right away.

The glowing stone in the middle of the picture, it would be ideal to have it both as a standing entity as well as a wall-mounted one.

And personally I would prefer a white crystal/glowing texture for the stones so everybody can recolour it to his preferences.

But please, if you think of it too specific, too boring or anything else to work on that, do something you like more. I'd have no problem in that case

I'll get on those as soon as I finish storyteller's request.

Anyways, here's a screen of a metal-stone holder I made and the two textures for it, inspired by those in the above posts. I decided to make the holders and stones separate, so they could fit in better and allow people to do what they want with them. I'm considering darkening the textures a bit, but what do you guys think?

@storyteller: I plan on doing 2 ground stones, 1 wall stone, and 1 more holder.

@Coach Shogun: The design looks terrific

About the texture you are right, darker is probably better, the rust-coloured one looks very cool allready, the second texture would be in dark grey or even black the best so it contrasts even more with the stone.

@storyteller: I've gotten some work done. I darkened the texture some, and made a crystal for them. The crystal has a white and blue texture for it. I also made a crater the place the crystals in to make them blend naturally with the ground. I'm gonna try to have a wall-mounted holder and a small crystal done by Monday so I can release this as a pack.

@bugsy: I'll start on your crates soon.
@VENT: Sounds interesting, I'll see what I can work up.

Sorry for the 10 seconds your heart stood still (at least mine would have in your place)

But seriously - the screenshot shows nothing more than cubes and triangles with well done texture and perfect lightmapping.

@tfk dude: Sorry, I didn't see your post. Are you on Post Moderation?

@storyteller: I've been really busy this week, and I won't be on my computer this weekend (going camping). Tomorrow I'm gonna zip the files I've got done up and put them for download. Is that alright?

I've got one request, If it's too complicated don't worry bout it but if you're looking for a challenge, an armored car/truck like this stormchaser tank would be sick!

Jk, I don't really expect you to do that
If you could maybe do some highway overpasses?

If you could do an overpass you'd rock!

I'm afraid I haven't gotten much more done, other than whats up there. I was extremely busy, and I couldn't get anything done. I do plan on making on wall light, but that may not be for a while.
