There is EFX mod which is a graphical mod. But I'm not sure how or where you can still get it.

There are a couple DLL mods too.

X-Tasy

Omega Bloom "Mod"
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=147384&b=21

I believe somehow Omega Bloom "Mod" runs faster than X-Tasy. Don't quote me on that though.

Wow, I've never even heard of Omega Bloom or X-Tasy... So, I saw the graphics on both, and they both looked amazing, but there's no AirMod integration? Awww.... Darn it...

I've seen it all. Except for myself ever not failing at something.

Both mods are external which means you can have any mod installed and xtasy or omega installed at the same time.

So does that mean I could have both the X-Tasy and Omega dll's in FPSC at the same time? Cool!

I've seen it all. Except for myself ever not failing at something.

I don't think you can have X-Tasy and Omega at the same time. There really wouldn't be a point.

He's saying you can have any MOD with one of these DLLs at the same time. Such as running Fenix mod with Omega. Or WASP with X-Tasy.

If you want better graphics in FPS Creator, just wait until bond1's new shaders come out this december, and use them with any mod you want. I wouldn't recommend EFX Mod even if it was available here.

Bond1's shaders can be applied to anything in FPSC. His shader upgrades the graphics.
I completely agree with Kravenwolf. You can play around with the dll mods but until then, however, Bond's shader is just flat out amazing.

How do you get omega bloom to work?
I have never figured it out.

You put the files in the FPSC directory. While in test game you press Shift + F12. Sometimes it doesn't work the first time you press it so you may have to press Shift + F12 a few times until it activates.

Did we ever get the whole "X-Tasy" and "Omega Bloom" whatever deal solved? I thought the creator of the DLL came in and said we couldn't use it?

In any case, I prefer not to have my HUDs and debug information screwed up by external DLLs. EFX Mod was "banned" from being used by people on the "english board" and was only "allowed" to be used by the german board users. That was my understanding of the entire ordeal. So, you can wait and see if they change their minds, or you can wait for bond1's shader (I'm looking forward to seeing it in action, too) and the next release of Project Blue will also feature full screen shaders such as Bloom and Motion Blur.

No, because in their eyes this is the board that attracts the kind of people who disobey licenses. Face it, this is the board where they had their licensing broken, so guess how they're going to profile us, if at all?

Not for commercial use anyway. And lets be honest, how many decent commercial games have you seen around here apart from that Cthulhu fangame?

I believe quite a few of the games that the developers get serious with could become commercial quality.

Well, Chidems pioneering for one, HCZ could have been one, but I dont think they ever did make it commercial.

That's just how the world works.

I personally don't understand what all the fuss is about these graphics enhancing mods. Pretty looking graphics does not a good game make!

I'd rather people focused on level design, or a genuinely engaging storyline, rather than great looking areas which are poorly designed. Of course, if you can already do great level design etc. then adding a bit of extra sparkle certainly won't hurt

The problem with all of the stories that I come up with, although great and fantastic by all who are blessed enough to hear them, would never work in an FPS environment.

We aren't racist at all. efxMod was 'banned' (like you say) because we wanted to do tests with the german community, as bug reporting and support is much easier for us, as we're using IMs like ICQ (btw. I noticed ICQ is not that popular in the US or in the UK as it is in Germany... ) and the unified language.
And before everybody begins crying about the unavailable download... efxMod is coming back.
