Hey all,
As many of you are aware, I have been absent from the forums for a while due to work etc. But, I have recently in my spare time, been kepping in touch with my shader dev side.
After seeing bonds spectacular Metro theatre demonstration, I thought "Why not give these shaders away to you guys in Bond's Model pack release in December?" (I'm aware Bond has created a new PS 2.0 shader system). I have sent an email to Bond and am still awaiting reply, so nothing is deffinate yet, but I just thought I'd show you guys the WIP stuff I have so far.

(This one has Enviromental reflection and refraction..Perfect for wet or shiny items).

Yours

CoZ

Looking pretty good, let's see them in fpsc!

Do they work on segments?

@Leosmontu and Coz: They look GReat! But why do people dont code them by hand anymore . I really like to do it by hand gives more and better performance/results, (is that me or other have that impression also)?

Cheers,

Red Eye

I have kind of a silly question to ask, but is it possible to use shaders with objects that are mapped using .PNG textures? or is DDS required?

PNG, JPG or DDS will accept all of the shader that file extension.
However, any model shaderda representation should not be specified.

Example:

texture Background : DIFFUSE
<
string ResourceName = "cobbles_D.dds";
string Type = "2D";
string Dynamic = "Background";
>;

This is wrong.

texture Background : DIFFUSE
<
string ResourceName = "";
string Type = "2D";
string Dynamic = "Background";
>;

This is true.

@Red Eye:I code all my shaders by hand. After this, I use DarkShader to show you the final result.

How do the shaders look in FPSC? Are they for dynamic or static entities?

They look sweet by the way!

Violence isn't the answer, it's the question...

Dinamic model for dinamic shader make/develop.Static model for static shader make/develop or Dinamic shader dinamic model In all, we use dynamic models.In all, we use static models.

@COZ: Great i love that when people do it by hand. I must admit Darkshader is only good for showing results and editing fast its arrays.

Anyway... Lumonix is a great tool that i use to make/code shaders.

I second that! If these work with static entities and segments, then I'd love to get a hold of them...

Yeaaaaaaah...

Anyways, Nice work CoZ! It's great to see where FPSC has come ever since I started using it! Hell, it's not just great it's AMAZING. Now for the rendering sequences and scripting language to be a little less resource intensive and we'll have something shiny.

Hey CoZ, those shaders are looking great

One quick question: can shaders be applied to static segments, or can they be only applied to dynamic entities? Also, can shaders reflect the light of static light sources?

Sorry if these questions sound noobish, I haven't really used shaders in FPSC yet.

Thanks,
dimre
