i really wanna create a good game for this compo but i always have a problem on realising the best mehod for creating my worlds, the game will consist of both indoors and outdoors areas so i assume that 3d models will be best but texturing 3d models is difficult enough but large landscapes with detail still? I cant imaine the way to do it best.

Any advice on techniques or other ways of creating my levels.

btw, i think this is the right area to pot this, if not sorry.

what are you uesing DBC or DBpro.

if your useing DBC the best way is to make a MATRIX for the outdoors bit and then put .X models on the MATRIX for the indoors areas this get a bit compexs when the have more then one floor in a buliding

if you got DBpro you can ues that or ues BSP for ever thing but you do`t get very big outdoor landscapes out off them.

im using dbpro. Im not keen on matrices because they suck ass. I am not a fan of bsp either, especially as the game wil mostly be externally based (the game is kinda like commandoes). 3d would be good because ive got a friend with a bunch of helpful code to speed things up, the only problem is creating and texturing it...i may end up having to stick with matrices.

ANy more ideas?
