It was my birthday a few days ago. I finally was able to go to my parents' house for dinner and stuff. My brother stepped in and helped them find a good gift for me. He found a sweet deal for 4gb of RAM for my Mac mini. Apple claims the mini doesn't support 4gb, but having done research my generation of mini supports 4gb, but it will only recognize 3.Xgb. Apple doesn't admit to that because they don't want to support it or something. Anyway, shoved in the ram (which is a PAIN in a Mac Mini by the way) and I've never been happier. Going from 1gb to 4gb is a dream. Before I could only have XCode, iTunes, Chrome or Firefox, and a few other development related programs open. And at that point the computer would lag. I had to close most everything before Photoshop would even think about opening. Now with the upgrade, I opened every app installed on this computer: 0 lag. It's awesome.
Now I can do my iPhone development without having so many lag issues.
