Hi there !

I have some question concerning maps of the FPSC Game Eldora.

1) At the beginning, the small garden with these giant doors,
how Rolfy have made these leaves' shadowings ?
It's real shadows, overlays or just an effect on the textures ?

2) The map architecture (walls, stairs, floors ...) is segments or entities ?

Thanks in advance !

I believe Rolfy made the entire level in 3DS Max, then brought it into FPS Creator...

You'll have to find his email and ask him for full details though...

Violence isn't the answer, it's the question...

the shadows were "baked" which means when he created the level in an external program he saved the light settings into the textures used

Not so weird, it was never entered for the BOTB.
Reason was twofold I felt it needed more work and at that time I didnt think I should accept a title when s4 had put so much into it as well, maybe thats changed now and more than one developer can get an award for one game, I dont know.

@rolfy How did you made rollover (hover effect) of button in main menu? I'm thinking of this for years and still i have not figured it out.

It's kinda hard as FPSC doesn't have a command to check the cursor's position.

-Awaiting reply!

The animated menu was not created by scripting in FPSC, s4real created a custom version of Vishnu to pack the game, the menu is contained in this program.
I believe the latest version of Project Blue has animated menu not sure about the buttons tho'.

Latest version of Blender has this feature and is free
http://www.blender.org/

There is a video showing that particular feature here
http://www.blender.org/features-gallery/feature-videos/?video=bake_to_uv

Truespace also has this feature and is now free
http://www.caligari.com/

Here is some information about that feature in Truespace
