I would like to open a window to print into while my program runs and displays graphics. I don't want to print to the screen. Is there a way to do this or do I need a special DLL? Thanks.

you could give the effect of a window by using set camera view to make the 3d display area smaller then printing on the bits not showing your 3d world

or print to a file and call notepad.exe "path\filename.txt" if db allows you to execute other programs, that is.
run your db program in windowed mode so both can be seen

Theres no place like 127.0.0.1
