Just to recap all the mods that are scattered all around the forum i would just like to have a list of mods and where you can download them. Also maybe a little description on the mod and weather they are free on not. This will make it easier for everyone who just wants a quick reference. Thankyou in advance

Why does everyone leave out RPG Mod by Flatlander?! Drives me crazy. It's one of the best MODs out there! Really only needed if you're making an RPG though of course.

Great, i've heard that the horror mod had like a dome for outside scenerys, like your in the dome and it wont draw anything outside the dome. Is this true?

no, like it is an invisible small dome that you stick in your games (multiple ones) so it dosnt draw outside stuff. And when you pass out of it it wont draw what is inside the dome. So it will speed up your game. Plystire have you ever used another game making program other than FPS creator because most of them have it.

I understand what you are saying and yes, it does have something like that although it isn't a dome shape

Cool , Ive heard there is something like this for x10. I was scanning trough the x10 threads and there was somebody was lagging bad , somebody said something about a dome or some kind of object like it going over non-solid segments to stop it

yeah they show skybox because that isnt actually in the level, but if it was dynamic eg. moving clouds and day cycles then it probably wont draw it, it depends. Hey that would be awsome in FPSC, day to night cycles. So when it is dark the ambience is low and when it is light the ambience is high and the lights get deleted from the scene to a certain point where they will turn back on again.
Wow im a geinius. I should do something about that one day.

I'd love to hear more about this "dome" of sorts that keeps the engine from drawing poly outside of it if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Day night cycle is very doable now. You can use a timer or player position, but either way you'll want to do an accelerated cycle. Unless of course it's going to take the player more than 12 hours to complete one of your levels. Your lights would stay the same and wouldn't have to be controlled, but only the ambiance would need to change. I think this would best be used in a level that starts at dusk and and quickly looses daylight.

xplosys, when i go to some place to download an entity for FPSC your always there and i always get led to you to download stuff, well you and cheese cake. You are probably one of the more advanced users so why dont you add that in a mod or something like that. I know im asking for alot but if you did make it people can get some big games going and it will be all thanks to you.

Well...

FPSC already has shadows unless you mean dynamic shadows, and Fenix mod has DarkAI (the FPS is 40 i think)

well, you can download the new 2.0.0 which is a beta and some features dont work. DOWNLOAD HERE , create a folder called flex in your files folder and off you go Shift+ins for normall menu and shift+home for the new menu

i down loaded it but its only an application, not files, im a big noob when it comes to mods but if i put it in my files folder then i try running it i get a Runtime error 8003, and when i am in game i pres Shift and Home or Insert and nothing happens.

yea, efx has a sync rate slider, which goes from 0 - 60 , 0 of course being no sync rate, but the scary thing is that my sync rate was on 60 :-o

PPL say that efx slows the pc down but if you have a ATI that kinda changes since EFX is reccomended for ATI

I got a Nvidea card (GTX 290) I found that if you pay the extra money you do get alot better results but if your a gamer on a budget then i will get an ATI.

well, ATI is pretty good for its price, I got the ATI READON HD 4870 and its just as powerfull as one of the latest NVidia cards

this is a bit off subject but does anyone know a game engine that is like FPSC but can handle millions of pollygons, has a height map feature, uses direct X 9 or 10 graphics, no coding or little like FPSC, and under $5000 or around there.

torque can handle that, ive used it at school..it requires some coding but it is easy to use and quite powerful.

you asked for an engine that can make fps's, http://www.garagegames.com/products/torque-3d

that is way under $5000 and can do prety much anything and is fairly easy to make a game with drag and drop (can make games for consoles too)

or were you asking for something else?

sorry i said wat the hell because i forgot there was another page but yeah i have heard of torque and it looks good but i dont want to sit down on a com for a couple of years to get nice results, it is good though

ah ok

getting mods to work is easy, here is 5 simple steps.

Step 1: Extract the .zip or .rar it came in
Step 2: copy the FPSC Game.exe
Step 3: navigate to the fpsc folder and name your FPSC Game.exe something else like FPSC Game1.exe
Step 4: Paste the coppied FPSC Game.exe into the fpsc folder
Step 5: make a game and test it, the mod should work
