Is it worth to buy Z brush if I want to make moddels for a game, cause from what I can see right now, is that most moddels have a way to high poly count.

The models that you make directly in Z Brush are too high poly but, Z Brush for games is normally used to add detail to a model to make normal maps and such. Then you are suppose to lower the poly count of the model and bake the detailed textures onto the lower poly texture. So, yes it is worth it ONLY if you want to make very detailed models and want to spend the time to do so (it's not a short process).

So, I would like need blender to make a low poly mesh, then import that into Z Brush for detailing and making a normal map, then reimport into blender and apply the normal map made in Z Brush??

Well, I guess I will just stick with blender for the moment xD.

Well, what I tried, is make a model in blender, export as .obj with default settings, and then import into Z brush to add wood detail for normal map, but when trying to import into zbrush I get an error while importing error.

Does anyone know whitch settings I need to use in blender to make it importable into ZBrush??

Edit: And the moddels john makes, they are for games and I think they are pretty low poly. So how does he do it??

sometimes you'll be prompted by a message when you import a model, just click yes and load the model as you would normally

well when you select import in the tools menu (which if you haven't already I'd recommend that you drag that drop down menu onto the left side of the UI, it'll make sculpting much quicker) it'll bring up the window for importation then you just select the model you want and hit import, have you been saving your models as .obj as thats its format of preference and i think it may even be all its able to import. well anyway i use .obj, if you still aren't able to import models it may be because its the trial however i remember being able to import models when i had it. hope that helped, i just got the full version last 2 weeks ago so I'm still learing a bit.

Well, I saved it as obj and I do import it the normal way, I just think that there si something wrong with blenders exporters, since sometimes exporting my models to .x with it also fail.
