On my PC at least, DGDK.NET won't install under Windows 7 . Says it can't register DGDK32.dll.
What can I do ?

DarkGDK.NET has not been tested on Windows 7 as yet. It is highly likely that the DirectX version is not correct which will prevent DGDK.dll from registering. You can even try to download http://www.dependencywalker.com tool and run this against the DGDK.DLL file which will be located in your Windows System folder (SYSTEM32)

Can you list here what files have a yellow exclamation mark and this will lead towards why it isn't installing correctly.

Paul.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate seen it came out to MSDN Users. And until now I haven't confront any Problems whit DarkGDK.Net under the New OS. Basically the same experience I had whit DARKGDK.NET whit Vista.

I have downloaded dependencywalker and tried to reinstall. Crashed as before but DGDK.DLL is not to be found anywhere on my machine .

A bit of a nuisance, no? I can re-install DirectX, if it is useful. Which version should I use?

Sounds like the installer doen't have the right permissions to be able to create the .dll file.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and I haven't encountered any problems with the DarkGDK.NET! I installed DirectX 9 SDK and Visual Studio 2010 only and toolkit works great!

Same issue (seven ultimate x64). I solved (ehm ... only tried with a couple of legacy examples but they seem to work) this way:
- spotted the missing files with dependencywalker as suggested (I found dgdk.dll in c:\windows\syswow64):
* d3dx9_35.dll
* IEShims.dll

- found d3dx9_35.dll here http://www.m3fe.com/files/d3dx9_35.zip; unzipped and copied in c:\windows\syswow64

- found IEShims.dll on my system in more than one folder; I choose the file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer and copied it in c:\windows\syswow64

NOTE: dependencywalker still reports this (but at least the installation now completes and the examples run):
Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in an implicitly dependent module.
Error: Modules with different CPU types were found.
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.
