Hi,

I'm working on a model pack, everything looks fine and works fine, but for some reason I fall trough the floor when I walk against the end table I've made. Does anybody know what is wrong?

Thanks

FPSc engine can be a little confused with collision on stuff like tables (and others) and tends to think your underneath it when you get too close and slips you through the floor.

Using a collision box (cube mesh with 100% transparency texture) will solve it most times.

I only use this for fun and have no interest in making commercial games ^_^

@Nbt: It didn't work, thanks for your effort though.

Anybody else knows what I could do?

just change the model collision thingo to box instead of polygons

that should work if all else fails

One way to solve this is to model a 'box' (12 poly's) underneath the table model which you will have to make invisible in your texture file.

The drawback is that your character will not be able to crawl under the table.

Good luck with this.

Its as simple as 1,2,3
1. Open the .fpe of the model
2. Find the line that says 'collisionmode'
3. If it says 1, change it to 0. If it says 0, change it to 1.
4. Save it, and run the .dbo and .bin cleaner.

Is your model "clean"? You don't have any stray vertices, flipped geomety, or T-junctions causing wierd gaps in the model? I've had this happen with a few of my early models that were kinda sloppy.

Also, try resetting transforms or the equivalent in your modelling app. You'd be surprised how much that screws up collision when you don't do that before you export.
