Most people allready had problems with FPSC on Windows Vista - but not because of *Windows* but because of the fact that it uses DirectX 10 insted of DirectX 9.

I guess Windows 7 also uses DirectX10....

Windows 7 Professional works perfectly here. In fact it's worked perfectly with ALL my software so far. I am very happy with it so far, so much so that I have absolutely no reason to ever touch Vista again.

@bond1, xplosys: Does Windows 7 also work with DX10?

And would you advise me to upgrade my 2-month old (*sob*) Vista?

@ yohan12: Yes, Windows 7 does also support Direct X11, but the only cards atm that support DX11 are the ATI Radeon 5xxx series, which are insanely overpriced imo.

Yes. If you're going to use FPS Creator(9) on Windows 7, remember to install the latest version of DX9. It won't affect your DX10.

I didnt make myself clear enough on that one I am afraid

When I started out on FPSC I had Windows Vista DX9 with a Geforce card and FPSC ran perfectly (Bioshock didnt btw).

I had to buy a new PC 2 months ago which had Windows Vista preinstalled and runs on DX10, still with a Geforce card. Now FPSC appears pixelish and dynamic objects/lighting look just sick (Bioshock runs perfectly now btw).

I thought the problem was not Windows 7 but rather the DX10. Now I dont wanted to know if I can keep my beloved DX10 if I upgrade to W7 but rather if my graphic problems could be solved that way.

If I understand you guys right your W7 works with DX10 and FPSC still runs perfectly?

Yay for suspiciously fast ATI Radeon "Null" I found somewhere. It supports DX11, too.

I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate now and I do have some issues:
FPSC Fails load some segments
FPSC looks extremely aliased even at 1280 x 1024.
FPSC doesn't load when forced to use Direct x 9.

So far, it's a huge improvement on Vista. The new interface is a ripoff of KDE (Kubuntu's desktop).
