Hi i'm really new at programming and never have done it before a friend tried to teach me but he wasn't that good either i have always wanted to make games but don't know where to start any help will be appreciated i want to start small and practice

If you haven't already get the free version of Darkbasic Pro:

Then take a look at TDK's tutorials:

The tutorials are in the Darkbasic Classic area but most of them work for both Classic and Pro.

i started programming when i was 12 in turbo C 3.0, and the only games i completed were text based rpgs, i think that is a great way to start, so you can get the feel for the programming and game logic without having to worry about the graphics and other more complicated aspects
