im not really into palm tops, but maybe you can tell me, is it worth it?

i mean you spend that much money, while you could spend around the same to get a pc upgrade. what do you use it for?

i mean, there are quite kewl ones out their that can handle games like a specially adapted Age Of Empires 1, but for that i think i'd rather have a Gameboy Advance

for organization, i would never get one, i'd rather just buy a mobile phone with a built in organizer.

i seriously don't see the point in them, maybe (since i have never been on one, none of my mates have one) i just dont know some of the features they can handle. i personally wouldnt think of buying one untill they become more established and flexible.

like you hear of these 400mhz palm tops, i mean they must be joking, my pc is 450mhz rofl.

I had a psion 5mx before hand, and nothing will ever compare to that.

I use em for small games but mainly organisation, i keep all my contacts on there and with college starting i will put some student planner apps on there so i can keep track of my work etc.

I am also hopeing to get a 32MB SD card so that i can store pictures on there for my photography class, this way i do not have to use a comp or print them out on assignments (Like the ones where you are given a famous picture or somming and told to find a shot like it.)

And lastly i am a web designer, i do not have a laptop, so i will use my palm to write notes etc.

My dad has a Compaq, which is cool as it has proper writing recognician, but the onscreen keyboard of the palm is quite easy to use, i am not too sure about grafite yet as i need some more practice.

In my PDA line i have had: Psion 3A, quite good, crappy keyboard, the database and calendar were the best aspects - i had a list of all the software i own with the registration numbers etc. listed.

Next came the Psion 5mx, this was great, the screen was nice and big, the unit was a bit bulky, but still manageable. The apps were great and the keyboard was perfect.

Now the Palm m130, it does not compare to the psions as i think its OS is not as good, its a bit restricted (the psions had file browsers etc) also there is no bulit in programming language, which means i will have to load software onto my PC to emulate the palm OS.

Overall, i like psions, but for the job that needs doing palm is the better option mainly from cost. There is about £100 difference between a palm m130 and a psion 5mx and it shows
