I used to make programs with DBpro v1.55 on Windows 98 (2nd edition)... (please don't laugh ).

Today, I've upgraded it to v.1.074 and the compiler doesn't work anymore. A window said that "SHELL32.DLL:SHGetFolderPathA" is missing.

Must I "downgrade" it ? With which version, please ?

DBP: Windows 98 support was discontinued from Upgrade 6.7 onwards. To use this operating system, the latest update you can install is Upgrade 6.6.

If it is Windows98, I think that DBC is better.
