3 Dimensional Chat / My Frying Pan Melee Problem (first creation)

Ok here it goes i have got Blender and was messing around with it when my friend asked me to make him a Left 4 Dead styled game with melee weapons for him on FPSC, so i created this frying pan as a start. But what i don't know what to do is to make it into a melee weapon, what i mean is i don't know how to animate it in Blender so it would be a great help if someone showed how to do it or find a tutorial for me. i also don't know how to UV map so a tutorial in that would be great.

You will probably have to make an arm attached to it that you would animate, but I'm not really sure. This would probably be better off in an FPSC board.

I will live forever or die trying.
