You must upload the image two times:
-First to somewhere (for example imageshack) and resize to small and copy the link of picture and when posting press image tab and paste there you link to image
-Second to the forums (Attachement, must be real size)(This will be only viewable pressing VIEW)

Thanks,
Turtle Productions

I liked your first post better, Mnemonix. I thought that one should win.

Yea a few people have said its better. The second one is rushed, I didn't really have time to think about it, but I think it comes down to the fact that the first one looks like a christmas card.

Not sure if this is in time now (Sunday? 20th?) but I only saw this today so I have knocked up a quick one just for fun. Remember, it's the taking part which counts! At least that's what I tell myself

(Full size 300dpi 6inch x 4inch one attached).

I've emailed Rick to find out if the competition is running till Sunday as that will give me a chance to make a proper entry.

I decided to make a few tweaks. I think a border around what i had would help the appearance of a card, and the "except for food and water" detracts from the flow of it.

My final card is one helluva render, at about 35 minutes a time. I'm rendering the final shot now and hopefully I will just have time to photoshop it a bit and get it uploaded

I have spent some time modifying my second entry to make it look better so I hope you will like it when its done. I certainly have had fun making these!

Argh, 3ds max has just crashed at the end of my final render. Is there any chance my entry will be considered if it is a couple of minutes late?

Mine is going to take hopefully only 5 minutes more. Lets hope the judges can see past the tiny bit of missing the deadline

I got really annoyed cos my Carrara crashed while rendering, so i managed to upload with 1 minute to spare.

@mnemonix
I wouldnt worry. Your entries are already awesome.

Wait we can have multiple entries right? There isn't a defined number in the rules and it says theres no limits except that it has to be family friendly.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it

It was a real battle to get it finished and it was 8 minutes late, but that was due partly to the ambiguity of the deadline and partly to the fact that max crashed at the end of a 30 minute render.

Ill just point a note out, I keep 'all' layers and text fields in photoshop, so If anything needs changing, its very easy to do as all the layers to the documents are active, I only flatten to output, but keep the originals with all the layers intact, its handy in case something needs editing later on.

Incidentally, I think this competition has been interesting because everybody has gone in a different direction and I have had a lot of fun (and stress due to time constraints) making these pictures up, and i'm going to make a new design and get some printed for myself

Not many people entered though. Probably because of the time constraints.

Well done Mnemonix. Not sure which of your cards won but all your graphics entered are superb. If you want to make it more difficult for yourself next year, you could give us a few tips on how you created your graphics or even produce a tutorial.

Some really nice cards out there

awh i wish i had seen this earlier, i would have designed a pretty cool card, Would have made it into a fold-able pyramid !

--template for christmas card--
http://www.paperandmore.com/images/articles/templates/box_pyramid_lrg.gif

Then i would have just put some nice little TGC pics on each side
