I have recently got into modeling for my little 3d game , and found making swords to be fun and easy. I would however like to make more imaginative swords, or more Eastern style you could say. II have a really hard time modeling anything without a background imagine like from the site linked below. so i was wondering if anyone had a link to a site with some blue prints for sword models. or even any other type of thing you might like to suggest.

Also what is the correct word for the images in the background in 3d modeling programs? Blue Print can't be right it wont Google it correctly.

If by Eastarn you mean European, then here (searched it up in about a minute or so): European Swords for Sale Website. They aren't blueprints, just reference images, but they work quite the same in my standards (hopefully for yours to). If by imaginiative you mean something like a toon link kind of sword (or something like that), than I'd say study a real sword and draw a cartoony blueprint.

usually just searching the type of sword with sword in its name on google images should bring up plenty of options.

The word you were looking for was concepts mate ^_^

A concept can be outlandish, over-indulgent, near impossible to make.
While blueprints are more set to be 'real' and applicable.

Try looking at tribal swords, they have a few good kickers.
