so, i think i have made something in 3ds max O.o as my materials is always very light by stardard, so its like this:

and i know its supposed to be darker O.o any idea what ive done? so far i usually just darken it manually=P

next question: how, can i get it so my mest isnt smoothed out by default (then i make it a editable poly), becaouse it looks awkward when it is smoothed and i try to extrude something, as the extruded part is not smoothed. OR is there a way to make the whole mesh look smoothed so to be said?

1. You can change the colors of the textures, just select one and click on the (white, in this case) color box and pick a new one. They aren't "supposed" to be darker, they are default textures. Changing the color in 3ds max won't even show up in a game, you need to use images as textures for that.

2. Select the offending polygons and give them the same smoothing group. This should be on the bottom of the right rail, a grid of numbers. Just select the polygons and click a number, which will assign them the same smoothing group and you won't get edges between them.

Alternatively you can just select the whole thing and click Autosmooth.

The number slider next to the Autosmooth button is the threshold, which means that every every angle lower than that one will be smoothed. If you set it to 0, nothing will smoothed, if you set it to 360, everything will be smoothed, so on and so forth.
