Why? People on here have problems doing puzzles. And some of them have problems even with the roadmap. I think it's a good idea to provide just enough info on how to do something in the game, and make a walkthrough for those who just don't get it.

It's not a puzzle its a tip telling the player what to do when they come across a broken door.

I played it and I was impressed, but I was wanting more. Ok I saw a few things that need to be fixed.
1) The first load screen, load screen sound and game over screens need to be changed. I realize it it work in progress, but I thought I would give you a checklist.
2) The first movie had the sound off and was a bit choppy. It was hard to understand. It was good though. Made you feel like you were getting a part in the movie.
3) The Pick up key hud, just delete the hud from the script. It is makes it more realistic to not have a hud. The same for the doors that are locked. That little red hand would work just fine in their place. Just would make it less generic.
4) The bodies were all hovering off their beds.
5) The arrows in the dark hall were visible. Make a wall entity to match the darkness and make it no collision for the arrows to go through.
6) The man in the glass pit, use fragmotion to make him sit properly in the chair, like he is strapped to it.(If you need me to do this I can. Maybe even make it so if the player throws the wrong switch he bbq's.) Also having him talk when the plr is close to him or even in the same room. Screaming for help is the key.

I have more pointers, but it's my bed time. Overall I liked it. By any chance is the pig going to be in this?

wow. I think this will be a very good game. I don't think i could ever take the effort to make a game i wouldn't charge for. But, anywho, i like your style!

Thankyou a lot for all of that constructive criticism. now i know what i can fix. I would really like it if you could do the fragmotion thing because i have no clue how to do it. I will work on every thing when i get home from school.

it is only illegal if he makes profit from it or when he uploads the audio files. but they are contained in his game and his game is being given away for free. there's nothing illegal in doing that.

In your fpe script you should see something like this:

Just scroll down to your last animation and copy and paste it right beneathe the copied one like so:

Then change the animations to something like this:

Please note this is just an example on how to edit it. When you are done with this,delete the dbo and bin files, so it will not use the old files. Next make a script to animate if activated it will bbq him. You could also have a spark and smoke decal appear when activated. Good luck I hope to see it in your next fixed demo.

2) if i delete the hud it would make it VERY difficult to be able to tell what king of door it is.

If you went to some old warehouse how would you know if a door will open or not. Do this remove the hud and add hust a sound. In other games that do stuff like you hear the sound of the door handle raddle or in duke nukem, he says I need a key for that door. these are was around not showing a hud to add realism to the game. I wrote you a script that will allow you to use the switch to ativate the bbq man, but you will need to change your idle animations to the sitting position. I use the 2555 for the sit, but you were using the 2580 which is the electrocution end frame. Get rit of that old sit.fpi and use the one attached to replace it. I also included an audiofile for the bbq. Just add it to your audiobank. Don't put in any other file in the audiobank unless you change the script. Right now it looks as follows : audiobank\electro.ogg .

In state one your misspelled addhealth. I am working on the puppet and the pig man for you. If I do this right you should have a puppet that will peddle his way into a room (by way of waypoints) and talk with full mouth movement.It won't be lipsinking, but close. The puppet will be without his tricycle also as two differnet entities. The pig man will have a blade shoot out of his arm and attack. When I finish these I will let you know and keep you posted. I look forward to the next demo.

thats how they spelled it in fpi pad. i first typed in addhealth and it said it was wrong. Dude you are amazing. i wish i could model and animate like you!!!

Your code will not work unless it is on a trigger zone. Unless there is a non-trigger version of "anywithinzone" (i think there is) it wont work. and addhealth is misspelled.
