you would need to make it into a decal or you would need to make a source mod. you could also make fpsc support animated gifs and convert the avi to a gif, but that would be quite difficult

Hi there Paul, good to see you on the forum buddy, been gone all week visiting family. Came home to find my e-mail busting at the seems.

I believe the only way you can display an .avi movie clip is full screen, as in a cutscene or similar. If there was a way to do it, I'd sure like to find out myself. That would be fantastic.

Horror Mod has screen blocks which lets you play a video onto a block which you put in your level.

Cool story bro. I heard that somebody else knew how to do it.
I think a great static tv with a jumpy fade of a news broadcast
would look cool for a setting of you being in a post apacolyptic
city or somehthing...
