Hi all, here are some maps I have been working on in sketchup. Crit is welcome, but please remember i haven't done much world modeling so advice would really help.

Backlot Remake (From Call Of Duty 4 - deliberately made look different)

DM14 - Coffeebreak Remake (From Red Faction)

D-Day Remake

DM-Streets (W.I.P 30mins of work so far)

thanks

your maps aren't bad, but i would suggest making them using separate objects placed down. rather then have the building built off the ground have it set on the ground or slightly into it. the reason i say this is because say you want to have a railing and you want to limb over it. to do this it would need to be a separate object well if it was built off of the ground you would be able to jump over the entire map that you made because it would recognize the railing the same as the walls or floor. also if you want windows breakable or doors open able or walls leaned against these things all need to be separate, but then again this isn't required it is also easier to make a map using separate objects.(you can get by without doing it this way but it would be harder on the coder) but your maps do look quite good.

Your maps look pretty slick! I especially like the D-Day remake and the back lot one. Will you be using these in DbPro? FPSC? Or are you just making them for practice? Again, they look cool! Keep up the good work!

I am making these for FPSC. I already have them in fpsc but the collisions are mucked up for some reason. I will be making lots more of these.

thanks
