hehe. I've been working on the levels and graphics making them more shiny and better. The first thing I did was to make the flashes smaller and different oh and some Dexsoft stuff lol

Looks good. On the first part of the vid, the scale looks messed up. Given the textures and the geometry of the levels, it looks like the people should be much bigger.

Yeah loads of people have been saying that I'll be working on fixing texture sizes shortly! Dynamic lighting, bumpmapping are already implemented (very nice levels like Doom 3 style!). Bloom and dynamic shadows are soon to come!

looking nice - I'd tone down that bloom A LOT though. I'm not a fan of bloom at the best of times - it just looks tacky, but when used moderately it can give a nice effect - ATM it just looks like FPSC because there's so much of it :/

In my opinion bloom is only really useful outdoors, and in moderation. It just doesn't really seem right for there to be that much glare...

No bloom: I think it looks sharper TBH (and less FPSC'y lol)

I agree, that actually looks awesome! can't wait for a demo!
One comment, I'd lower the lighting (especially the normal mapping) just a little bit, it's too bright at some places and makes the models look odd.

Reminds me of the graphics of Doom 3. Nice work.

This. The walls look a bit like they were made of plastic, but otherwise it's fantastic. At least as long as it runs fast enough, of course.

Nice, reminds me of our own shader techniques. How exactly are you achieving such a style of bump mapping comparable with Doom3? - I would love to compare your technique to ours and see if yours is more efficient.
