I have been searching the forums and youtube but I cant seem to find any good full tutorials on how to make and load a map into darkBASIC pro. I know there must be more than one way but I cant seem to find a place to learn how. Help would be great.

Thanks in advance for the help I really appreciate it.

to make terrains it usually easier to use a terrain editor, and then import your terrain, i use to use T.ED as it was fairley easy to use, but there are others out there, im sure some people will post some other suggestions for you.

you could try advanced terrain if you do i would recommend getting the help files that Sixty Squares made: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=135172&b=1

or you could get a program like 3dws or cshop. it just depends on what you want to make

t.ed is good too

I personally use 3dMAX to make my map, I model it, texture it, and export it as x, then I use the load object command in darkbasic pro to load the map.
If you need I tutorial, I can make one for you with pleasure

Isn't there an example program that loads a terrain from a map file?

(Am I thinking of the same thing?)

You can use FPSC to make a map and load it into DBPRO, though it is a little complicated
