I've heard Lee say it was OK to install it as many times as you'd like, as long as it stayed INSIDE YOUR HOUSE, not your friends house, not your uncles... No, just your house.

For some strange reason you get two copies of FPSc. The hard copy on CD and a download version in your orders page, each with different serial numbers

I wonder why that is and if they are treated as two different entities ?

I only use this for fun and have no interest in making commercial games ^_^

I actually would like to know an 'official' answer to this question.

I searched the forum and found two similar topics:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=119023&b=21
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=133843&b=21

On the earlier thread, someone said:
Quote: "I can find no license information on the TGC website which which either confirms that or describes any restrictions."

Which is my problem. I couldn't find the info (maybe in the EULA when I install?)

I bought this mainly for work so I can create educational software (long story). However, I often can't finish things AT work, and sometimes like to take work home with me ... and I'd love to work on some personal projects too.

So I was wondering if someone from TGC or even a mod here could give an official ruling on this for clarification. Maybe even sticky the topic since it does seem to come up about every 12 months or so?

Just looked at the EULA in the install. The Eula says you can load FPSC into ONE computer. You can then TRANSFER the software to another computer provided the software is not used in both. This seems to suggest you can transfer the software as often as you like, but you wouldn't be able to install on multiple computers. Or so it seems.
