Hi, I only know of paid programs. Blender, maybe? I'd suggest it first.

Second, Paint.NET sucks. No offense. Use GIMP instead Kravenwolf, my company, and other users use it as well. Simple to use, powerful, and gets really fun once you become experienced with it. I used to use Paint.NET and it's only good for HUD items, like crosshairs.

check this http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=154983&b=3&msg=1811390#m1811390

I use paint.net and I made some pretty decent textures with it. I also have GIMP, but I only used it for a collage class, otherwise I don't exactly understand it. So someone in my point of view would say that GIMP sucks instead. I truthful say that they are both good programs to get to know your way around and paint.net was by far easier for me to learn then GIMP and I just fool around with the programs to begin with.

I like LithUnwrap. You can still find some downloads for the free 1.3 Version.

Well put! Paint.NET is extremely easy to use! I think it depends on who you are/what type of person you are, Massap. Try out different things!
