When i run a program (that has Dark GDK in it), even if it is just the predone code, i end up with an error message saying:

1>LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'dxerr9.lib'

Can someone tell me why this happens?

I get this error as well. I've downloaded Visual C++ 2008 Express edition and Microsoft DirectX SDK(August 2007) and installed all 3 components just as the book that comes with DarkGAME Studio indicates. Installation was a success.

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

Got the exact same problem here. The only difference is, that I use the August 2009 version of the DirectX SDK.
I included both the library files and the include files of my sdk installation but the problem still persists.

I avoided this error by rolling back to the March 2009 version of DirectX SDK and also creating a dummy multiplayer.lib as someone instructed in another thread
